About the College

Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust was formed with the avowed vision of enlightening the society by offering quality and affordable education to the weaker sections of the society. To cherish this objective and to join hands with the policy of the Government of Puducherry in enhancing technical education and also to meet the needs of our Nation, the Trust established Sri ManakulaVinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC), an institute of eminence in the year 1999 with a code of generating graduates with calibres.

Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College Pharmacy College (SMVECPC) started Bachelor of Pharmacy Programme in 2023. We aim at promoting the integral human development which entails the personal growth of the pharmacists

Modern equipment worth about 1.5 crores has been procured for different labs of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology and other departments. Library plays a pivotal role in supporting, sustaining and stimulating the process of teaching and learning. Our library is completely computerized and stocked with 550 titles and 2100 volumes. Our institution is subscribing National and International journals.

The faculty and staff are the pride of SMVEC Pharmacy College, who by their expertise teach and promote the learning process and also serve as an inspiration to the students to their research activities. They mould the student community into the outstanding professional by the advanced teaching techniques and learning aids. The college is vested with state-of-the-art infrastructure and provides top-notch facilities to the budding pharmacists.

The programme is supplemented by a refreshing breath of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to ensure that the students acquire personality excellence and leadership qualities in addition to the technical expertise, which are vital to excel in the competitive world.
